Monica's restaurant gets a bad review. After confronting the critic who wrote it she decides to join a cooking class. Chandler prepares for a job interview after Phoebe tells him that he makes a bad first impression.

Joey must decide who to invite to the premiere of his movie. Unfortunately, his pick, Chandler, falls asleep during it. Rachel's due date comes and goes and the doctor tells Ross and Rachel sex may help speed things along.

Ross takes on a rugby challenge from some old friends of Emily's from England in order to impress Emily. Meanwhile, Chandler runs into Janice and tries to avoid restarting his relationship with her.

With two days left until Emily's departure back to England, Rachel throws a fake party for her just so she can see Joshua outside of work, and a pregnant, vegetarian Phoebe craves meat.

Chandler and Joey find an unscrambled porn channel on their TV and refuse to turn it off for fear of losing it. Meanwhile, Phoebe receives some surprising news and Monica helps Ross come to a decision regarding Emily.

A very pregnant Phoebe is asked to name one of the triplets. Emily offers to show Susan around London and Rachel tries to prepare the perfect evening for her and Joshua.

Monica and Rachel are tired of their new apartment and try to bribe Joey and Chandler into giving up their apartment for Knicks tickets. Ross wants Emily to stay as she prepares to leave again.

Ross and Emily discuss who to invite to their wedding. Emily thinks it's odd to invite Rachel but Ross sends her an invitation anyway. A very pregnant Phoebe can't go & Rachel wrestles with the idea but decides not to.

Phoebe is tired of being pregnant and experiencing major mood swings. Ross chooses Joey as his best man, so Joey begins planning a bachelor party while the girls decide to throw Phoebe a baby shower.

The gang, minus Phoebe and Rachel, travel to London to prepare for Ross' wedding. While in London, Chandler gets annoyed with Joey's overexcited antics and Monica tries to give advice to Emily.

Phoebe tries to get in touch with someone to warn them that Rachel's on the way to the wedding. Meanwhile, Ross and Emily's parents meet at the wedding rehearsal dinner.

Everybody begins planning for the wedding and Monica learns what her parents have done with her wedding fund; Phoebe moves in with Ross and Joey teases Rachel about her late-night reading material.

Chandler's efforts to bond with Monica's father backfire during a racquetball game. Meanwhile, Monica tries desperately to reproduce Phoebe's grandmother's secret cookie recipe.

Rachel considers hiring an inexperienced but handsome man over a better qualified woman as her exec assistant. Monica, Chandler and Ross engage in a war of secret sharing after Monica and Chandler vow to be more honest.

A non-photogenic Chandler can't get a good photo of him and Monica. Rachel plans to get closer to her hunky assistant by encouraging him to hang out with Joey but the plan sours when he picks up on Joey's moves.

Rachel and Phoebe compete to be Monica's maid-of-honour. Joey and Ross find themselves in awkward positions after a nap whilst Monica insists Chandler apologise to an ex for dumping her because of her weight gain.

Joey may have ruined Rachel's chances with Tag when he opens his mouth during Thanksgiving dinner. Phoebe sneaks a dog into the apartment which makes Chandler extremely nervous.

When Phoebe tells how she was too poor to have a bike as a child, Ross goes out and buys her one. Monica decides to make candy and leave it outside her door as a way to meet the neighbours.

Ross' attempts to introduce Ben to Hanukkah are thwarted by the boy's like of all things Christmas. Phoebe prepares to move back into her refurbished apartment and will stop at nothing to get Rachel to go with her.

Phoebe's old flame David visits from Russia for an evening of romance. Rachel and Chandler swipe deliveries of a particularly tasty cheesecake from their neighbour's doorstep.

Rachel and Tag's first night together is put on hold when they realise they forgot to overnight an important package. Ross and Joey are stuck on the roof and Phoebe can't disable a relentlessly beeping smoke alarm.

On her first day as a telemarketer, Phoebe encounters a distraught man who is determined to end his life. Monica and Ross discover their parents are selling their house and Rachel breaks Rosita, Joey's favourite chair.

When Rachel turns 30, the gang reminisce about their experiences with the big 3-0. Phoebe discovers she's 31, Ross buys a sports car to look cool, Monica gets drunk in front of her parents and Rachel breaks up with Tag.

Ross plans a surprise for Monica and Chandler's wedding that is less than desirable. Joey tells a cast member she will be killed off so his character can survive and Phoebe and Rachel fight over a guy in Central Perk.

Joey gets ordained through the Internet so he can officiate Monica and Chandler's wedding. While trying to help out Joey with the service, Monica reveals something about the London trip that leaves Chandler floored.

Monica regrets telling a woman about a discount bridal shop when they end up fighting over the same dress. Meanwhile, Joey and Ross discover they're dating the same girl.

Nominated for an award, Joey resorts to theft when he doesn't win. A student convinces Ross he failed his midterm because he's in love with Ross and Monica realises Chandler will be the last man she'll ever sleep with.

Joey auditions for a big role which will require him to appear naked but the part calls for an uncircumcised man. Rachel and Phoebe plan Monica's shower and Ross finds his attraction to his visiting cousin unsettling.

A college friend with whom Rachel shared an embarrassing and passionate moment shows up at Central Perk. Chandler and Ross argue for possession of Val Kilmer's tuxedo and Joey drives Monica crazy over the wedding schedule.

With Chandler and Monica dealing with their own problems in writing their vows, they turn to memories of past events. In the end, the only problem is who will be saying their vows first.

Monica's Porsche shows up again and causes conflict when Rachel finds out she's the only one who hasn't driven it. Meanwhile, Chandler and Monica go off to Vegas to invite Chandler's estranged father to the wedding.

During the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, a panicked Chandler disappears. Joey is starring in a movie with a prestigious actor who has a regrettable spitting problem.

Joey encounters problems trying to get off the movie set to officiate the wedding. Meanwhile, Ross desperately searches for the missing Chandler as the girls distract an unsuspecting Monica.

Ross is in a hurry to get everyone dressed for an important banquet at the museum but everyone keeps delaying. Monica freaks when she hears an answer phone message from Richard and Joey & Chandler fight over a chair.

Phoebe dates a man who thinks he's stalking her twin sister. Ross and Rachel give Chandler "boyfriend" lessons. Monica uses her free time to make jam and considers artificial insemination through a sperm bank.

Phoebe acts as Joey's agent and has some success in getting him auditions. Ross is upset to see Ben with a Barbie doll and Chandler is advancing in his relationship with Janice but realises he has commitment fears.

Phoebe's half-brother visits, but they have trouble bonding. Joey attempts to build an entertainment centre whilst Ross is challenged to name the five celebrities he'd like to sleep with the most.

When Janice asks the gang if any of them have ever slept together, the friends flash back to a time three years before, where some dark secrets are revealed.

Joey sees Janice and her soon-to-be-ex-husband, "The Mattress King", kissing. Rachel attempts to have her father and Ross bond but things don't go as planned and Joey gets a job teaching a soap opera acting class.

Joey tells Chandler he saw Janice kissing her ex-husband. Monica accidentally bumps Ben's head against a post and Phoebe is convinced she's cursed because every time she goes to the dentist someone around her dies.

Emotions become the feast of the day when the gang plays a game of touch football. Joey & Chandler argue over who gets to date a beautiful Dutch woman and Ross & Monica argue over winning in a case of sibling rivalry.

Rachel makes a rash decision after Gunther tells her she needs retraining. Phoebe tries to help Joey when he gets a job selling Christmas trees and Ross accidentally breaks a girl's leg and tries to make it up to her.

Ross is suspicious about Rachel's possible job offer from a good-looking stranger. A drunken Chandler fools around with one of Joey's sisters but can't remember which one.

After splitting from Ross, Rachel goes on her first date with Mark from the office. Joey develops a crush on his co-star in his new play and Monica continues to date Pete, even though she's not attracted to him.

Rachel regrets making a date for Chandler & Joanna, her boss. Joey's interest in Kate intensifies after they sleep together. Monica's aunt leaves her an antique dollhouse which Monica doesn't want Phoebe to play with.

Monica considers a dream job in Pete's new restaurant. Joey and Chandler adopt a baby chick and a duck and Ross misses a panel for the Discovery Channel to help Rachel, who may have a broken rib.

At the premiere of Joey's big play, Ross alone concludes Rachel's date is insane. Joey falls in love with Kate but she gets a big job in Los Angeles and poor Phoebe is on hold for days with a company she needs to talk.

Rachel's paediatrician drops her as a client because she calls him incessantly (she thinks hiccups is emergency enough for 3AM) so now she must find a new one. Chandler and Monica discuss Tulsa.

Phoebe's talk with Ross prompts her to realise she's never had a long term relationship. Monica makes a startling discovery while visiting Chandler in Tulsa and Joey doesn't know why his date's pad seems really familiar.

Monica's ovulating so she plans to sleep with Chandler but they end up fighting. Ross locks himself and Rachel out of the apartment with Emma inside. All this leaves Phoebe and Joey alone at Phoebe's birthday celebration.

Ross mocks Rachel's new male nanny. Chandler gets upset when Monica says somebody from work is the funniest guy she's ever met. Phoebe and Mike exchange apartment keys, only to get a surprise visit from Phoebe's ex.

Ross makes Emma laugh by singing "Baby Got Back". Joey and Chandler find a video tape in Richard's old apartment. Phoebe has dinner with Mike and his parents.

Rachel has a bone to pick with her self-centred sister during Thanksgiving. Monica obsesses about anybody damaging her best china and Joey realises he forgot to show up for the Days of Our Lives cast parade float.

Joey becomes convinced that Monica's having an affair after Chandler sneaks back into town. Rachel impulsively gives her telephone number to a handsome guy but worries he'll call when Ross is there.

Monica fears the worst when she learns Chandler will be spending Christmas in Tulsa working on a deadline with a beautiful co-worker.

Chandler and Monica risk embarrassment when they secretly go to a fertility clinic. Ross hides his feelings for Charlie to help Joey woo her while Rachel sneaks into a spa for a massage, hoping Phoebe won't find out.

Monica and Chandler interview unsuspecting candidates, hoping to find the right man to father their baby. Phoebe is incredibly nervous about going to a party that Mike will be at, until she bumps into David.

The friends support Ross as he prepares for a keynote paleontological address in Barbados. Phoebe has her hands full with two suitors, David and Mike.

Joey lands a job with a PBS telethon, which ignites an old hatred Phoebe has towards the network. Meanwhile, Monica tries to convince Rachel that she's dating someone from work to hide her relationship with Chandler.

Monica and Chandler plan a romantic getaway to New Jersey in order to have an intimate weekend away from their friends. Meanwhile, Ross prepares himself to tell Rachel that he can't see her anymore.

Emily decides that the only way to continue her marriage with Ross is to have him get rid of all traces of Rachel in his apartment. Meanwhile, Rachel and Monica mistake a hairy neighbour for a yeti.

Chandler and Joey let Ross move in with them when his marriage to Emily falls apart. Phoebe gets involved with the local health inspector and Rachel becomes convinced that Danny is trying to seduce her with mind games.

Although the Thanksgiving meal is great, Chandler is still moody and Ross is depressed. To cheer them up the group reminisce about their worst Thanksgivings and Monica's worst memory is revealed.

As 1999 approaches, the group all make resolutions most of which will require a lot of willpower. Rachel vows to stop gossiping, a resolution put to the test when she learns about Monica and Chandler's relationship.

Monica hangs out with Chandler and his co-workers and learns Chandler has a second, more annoying personality when he's around his boss. Ross learns Emily is getting remarried and in grief hooks up with an old nemesis.

When Joey decides to change his image in order to land an acting gig, Rachel offers to help by hooking him up with the latest fashions. Meanwhile, Phoebe's grandmother passes away and she plans for the funeral.

When the friends learn Ugly Naked Guy is moving out of his apartment, Ross leaps at the chance to get his own place. Phoebe finds out about Monica and Chandler's relationship and tries to get them to reveal the truth.

Joey starts dating Katie, a little girl who packs a mean punch. When Ross refuses to contribute to the retirement fund of the building's maintenance man he ends up offending everyone in the building.

Joey has a dream about Monica. Phoebe finds a police badge under her seat at Central Perk and uses it to go on missions of mercy. Ross buys a sofa but has trouble moving it up the stairs into his new apartment.

Monica and Chandler try to prove they're more hot and heavy than Phoebe and Gary. Rachel accidentally kisses her job interviewer at Ralph Lauren. Joey tries to meet a girl living in Ross' building but Ross meets her first.

Rachel starts smoking in order to avoid missing meetings with her boss. Ben gets offered an audition for a commercial and Joey auditions to be Ben's father. Monica and Phoebe plan a party for Rachel but Monica takes over.

Joey lands a role in Law And Order and his Italian-speaking grandmother comes over to watch his network debut. Meanwhile, Ross tries unsuccessfully to flirt with the pizza delivery girl.

The guys get invited to take a ride along with Gary as a means to keep Ross distracted from Emily's upcoming wedding. However, when they hear a gun shot, Joey throws himself over Ross which makes Chandler jealous.

Gary asks Phoebe to move in with him but she's reluctant to and to overcome boredom, Ross and Joey start throwing a ball to each other. Rachel buys an expensive cat but it doesn't behave as she hoped it would.

Joey seems to have hit it big when he gets offered a lead part in a movie shooting outside of Las Vegas. However, when Chandler begins expressing doubts about the film's legitimacy it causes a rift in their friendship.

Chandler decides the only way to mend his friendship with Joey is to fly out to Vegas and visit him. Phoebe is determined not to be left out on another adventure, so everyone winds up going.

Rachel and Ross' prank war starts getting out of control. Meanwhile, Chandler makes the bet of a lifetime to fix his relationship with Monica.
