25-year-old Amadeus arrives in bustling Vienna determined to carve his own artistic path beyond his famous celebrity childhood.
Gifted composer, Mozart, arrives in Vienna in 1781. Falling in love with soprano, Constanze Weber, he meets court composer, Antonio Salieri, who from jealousy and revenge, vows to kill him.
The Mozarts get married and have a baby. Amadeus is struggling to write a celebratory Mass, as Salieri starts to meddle in their marriage and declares war on God.
The Mozarts have distanced after their son’s death. Whilst Salieri moves up a gear, creating chaos at Amadeus’ opera, Constanze falls for a handsome composer, who is seemingly Salieri’s spy.
After Constanze leaves Amadeus for her lover, Salieri sets about his final destruction of Mozart. Receiving his final commission of a Requiem Mass, Amadeus is faced with a deathly deadline.
Constanze refuses to accept Salieri killed Mozart, whilst learning a truth which cuts through fact and fiction. Conducting revenge, she ensures their names are remembered, but with different legacies.
