Adam's life only looks perfect, as he looks for thrills by drinking and doing drugs with his three best friends, Henrik, Jeppe, and William. His wife Hermine is taking a fertility test after years of trying. Unbeknownst to Hermine, Adam had a vasectomy years ago.
On the morning of a party his wife is throwing for 120 guests, William wakes in a hotel room to discover that two hookers have robbed him blind. A drunk William beats up a party guest. Two torpedoes confront him. Alone, a despondent William puts a shotgun in his mouth.
Hermine's fertility test is positive, so Adam has to test his sperm and asks Henrik for an unusual favour. William's suicide attempt failed, but half his face is gone. Hermine accidentally runs into Henrik at the Thief, while Adam resumes his feud with the neighbour.
Adam's sperm count test comes back positive, to Hermine's delight. William is visited by the torpedo as he gets ready to leave the hospital. Hermine's therapist suggests Adam is an emotionally abusive sociopath. Henrik tells Hermine about the deal with Adam.
Hermine tells Adam she's pregnant. He plays it cool and invites her to dinner. Adam talks to Jeppe, and vows to make Hermine pay. The au-pair picks William up from the hospital. At home, Celine tells him she wants a divorce. Later, William joins Jeppe at Henrik's party.

Jeppe and Adam fly to St Tropez to clean up William's financial mess. The police call Adam and want him to turn himself in. Celine throws Pim out, then takes the kids and leaves. Henrik and William fool a journalist to keep an article from being too revealing.
Adam denies having hit Hermine to the police. William again sees the torpedo outside. He runs out with his shotgun and fires, then breaks down. Henrik tells Adam that he got Hermine pregnant. Hermine plays a high game to ensure an independent and financially good life.
The guys set up an insider trade that seems to be very profitable. William throws Celine out of the house and Adam checks to see if Hermine still cares.
Hermine has lost her baby, and she starts planning her revenge. The guys are preparing the insider trade, and William goes to get Pim back.
Henrik is torn between a fear of death and life fatigue, and he lives his life accordingly. Hermine's life crisis takes her to New York.
