Concerned for her husband's whereabouts, Salma was informed by the police he was last seen entering a hotel room. It emerges Amer was a frequent patron, reserving the same room each time. On this occasion though no one saw him leave.

When Salma asks Murad Al-Joukhdar, Dean of the Law Faculty, for his help he politely declines. Nevertheless, intrigued by the details he starts looking into the case.

Murad's private enquires into the case lead to a clash between him and Detective Yousef. Murad finds himself in trouble when the missing persons case becomes a murder case.

Murad's sharing of information with the police only leads to reservations about himself rather than answering Detective Yousef's questions.

Attention turns to a young girl who may have witnessed the crime. Harbouring a lingering suspicion of her involvement in Amer's departure, Murad confronts Salma.

Salma informs Murad someone has been using her husband's credit card. A plan to track down the suspect goes awry and Murad finds himself implicated in a second murder.

Salma and Murad are questioned over the murder, feeling the strong arm of the law when their actions are construed as obstructing a police investigation.

Murad faces the consequences of his actions when the police exclude him from further involvement in the case. Receiving new information on Amer, Murad continues his enquiries stealthily.

Salma and Murad finally find the little girl. Facing difficulties in questioning her, Murad makes a risky move.

Detective Yousef is on the warpath when he finds out the little girl has disappeared. Believing all the information he has gathered would enlighten him, Murad is instead left confused.

The little girl's drawings and revelation she lives in a refugee camp finally give Murad some much needed answers. On discussing with Salma a decision is made to relocate the child.

When the truth about Amer and his cohorts is finally revealed, everyone is shocked by the atrocities of their crimes.
