Princess Lena Grisky, a student at the Paris Opera Ballet School, accidentally time travels from the safety and security of her life in 1905 to the fast paced, electronics-infused present day at the POBS, where she must fit in fast so her secret is not discovered.
Lena discovers that she and Henri can communicate through a brick at the Garnier. She learns about time travel and the dangers lurking. She immerses herself in life at the POBS, while hiding from the Time Collectors and trying to find her way home.
As the Time Collectors close in on Lena, Henri lays out a plan that he hopes will protect her. It works, but leaves her stranded in the future, while the Time Collectors, Benoit and Henri himself are scattered to another time period.
Lena has to accept she's going to be in the 2018 version of the POBS for a while. Henri makes the shocking discovery that while he's in the future, he's not in Lena's future. Luckily he meets Oscar, the timeless caretaker of all things related to time travel.
Lena realises she's not exactly fitting in like she'd hoped. She talks Jeff into rehearsing an assignment in the streets so she can see explore her new world. Lena gets caught up in the day and makes them late for class, almost missing an important BLOK rehearsal.
Lena and Thea become mentors to Violette but realise they're being played against each other by the young manipulator. Max is amazed when he gets an invitation to audition for secret underground promoter Paul G. When it doesn't go well, Max has a crisis of confidence.
Lena and Max are cast as star crossed lovers but things go horribly wrong when Lena believes the dance comes with a curse. She believes she and Max are destined to fall for each other and becomes so obsessed making sure that doesn't happen, she loses the part to Thea.
When Jeff suggests that Max and Lena are crushing, Lena tries to clear up the situation and follows Max home but is unprepared for his loud and nosey family who instantly pry. Max sets them straight by revealing that Lena has a boyfriend, which sends Lena spinning.
Lena, Ines and Thea are teamed together for an assignment and much to their surprise, Thea and Lena hit it off. So much so, that it causes a rift between Lena and Ines. Elsewhere, Henri is forced to work with the Time Collectors to build the portable time travel portal.
When Lena and Jeff clash during an important pairing, Lena teaches Jeff the importance of discipline in ballet, changing him as a dancer forever. Meanwhile, Thea's stage mother arrives turning her into a nervous wreck that begins Thea's spiral of revenge on Lena.
With the port-a-portal built, Clive and Pinky make their way to 2018 to grab Lena and the timepiece. Hoping to rescue Lena, Henri races through after them, and it's a race against time as to who will get to her first.
When Lena and Max are demoted from lead dancers to understudies, Max executes a plan to convince Gabrielle to give them their leading roles back. Elsewhere, Henri and the Time Collectors blame each other for the failed mission to 2018.
Excitement runs high the night of the mid-season show but just as Lena is about to go on stage, Thea hands her a letter from Henri, which tells her to meet immediately at a portal across town. When Lena gets there, Henri disappears before her very eyes.
After missing Henri at the portal, Lena returns to face the consequences of running out of the show. The crew band together to convince Gabrielle to let her stay and Lena's relieved until Gabrielle says she doesn't think Lena has what it takes to make company.
When Lena's excluded from class assignment, she's set on proving she deserves her spot. Lena's delighted to discover that she and Henri can pass notes through the brick in real time, and he inspires an idea for the assignment which she rallies the crew to perform.
Lena and Henri get in a heated discussion about her future which ends in a breakup. Meanwhile, Max approaches Lena with the idea of a Baroque flash mob for the BLOK. Just as everything falls into place, Lena's BLOK mask disappears, and Thea takes over her lead role.
Fresh off her break up with Henri and furious with Thea for stealing her BLOK mask, Lena pulls a social media prank on Thea that quickly spins out of control. Thea's devastated and Lena vows to make it up to her, using Thea's competitive nature to bring her around.
When the BLOK gets an invitation to participate in an underground dance competition everyone is psyched. Everything falls apart at the challenge when the rival crew steal the BLOK's choreography, leaving the BLOK scrambling and Max hiding a very big secret.
The students are abuzz as auditions for the end of season performance near. Max's secret is blown when it's discovered the guest choreographer is his father. In 1905, Henri meets Teen Travel Bureau employee, Francie, when she comes to confiscate his powerful timepiece.
When her attempt to help Max make peace with his father fails, Lena does the next best thing by exposing him to real street kids that result in a reunion with the BLOK crew. After being freed from the time-loop by Henri and Francie, Benoit admits he needs Henri's help.
Word is out Lena and Max kissed. Lena expects the worst from Thea but is pleasantly surprised when she gets the exact opposite. When Lena finds out Thea stole another letter from Henri, all bets are off and Lena vows to Thea that she will be a force to be reckoned with.
On a class trip to the museum, Lena gets the shock of her life when she comes face to face with the Grisky family portrait and realises her mother is wearing a timepiece with the time travel symbol in it. Thea becomes suspicious and vows to get to the bottom of things.
The biggest show of the year, and everyone is stressed and pushed to the limit. Lena's distracted when her suspicions about her mother are proven to be true. She learns her mother left her a timepiece hidden in the future, but someone posing as Lena got to it first.
Lena struggles to reconcile the truth about her mother being a time traveller and throws herself into her dance. When Max gets an invitation to a BLOK challenge that takes place the night before the final showcase, the crew balk. How could they possibly pull off both?
Lena needs to be ready for when the portal opens and it's going to be a whirlwind with the challenge and the showcase to prepare for. When she inadvertently tells Armando about the BLOK, she risks everyone's future, all while the Time Collectors arrive in search of her.
