Joe is the new Game Warden in Saddlestring, Wyoming, a town as beautiful as it is corrupt. Joe and his young family get off to a rocky start when a poacher steals Joe's gun and threatens him with it - and when a shocking murder hits close to home.

Joe teams up with a reluctant Sheriff's department to investigate a murder that hits too close to home. A mysterious survivalist named Nate Romanowski is arrested for the crime.

Joe teams up with his old friend Wacey Hedeman to search the mountains for two missing outfitters who might be the killers. Meanwhile, Nate asks Joe's wife, Marybeth, to be his lawyer.

Sheridan must survive a terrifying night on her own by running and hiding from her increasingly unhinged stalker. Marybeth undergoes emergency surgery as Joe struggles to protect his family.

Joe races from Marybeth's hospital bedside to rescue Sheridan, who has spent the night running and hiding from her stalker. With help from Sheridan and Nate, Joe has a final showdown with the killers.
