Ish, a solitary young geologist, is living alone in a mountain cabin, after a three week coma. He drives to the nearest town only to find dead bodies. He searches for survivors, from San Francisco to Las Vegas.

Ish finally finds a survivor, Emma. She teaches him how to plant, hunt, and fish. There’s a spark. Is it real, or are they just the last two people on earth?

5 years later. New residents move to San Lupo: Jorge and Maurine, then a mysterious mute girl, Evie. She is filthy and alone, why won’t she speak?

A drought hits San Lupo. Again they are at the mercy of the Earth... A nomadic group from the desert shows up, led by charismatic Charlie.

Ish hears a commotion in Evie’s art studio and discovers Charlie assaulted Evie. San Lupo gathers, this tribe must decide how to punish evil.
