Gregg starts his journey around South Africa by going on a safari through the Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. He goes on a game drive and encounters giraffe, rhinos and warthogs.
Gregg travels to the lush green valleys of the wine lands of the Western Cape. In Franschhoek he boards the ‘wine tram’ and handpicks grapes in the vineyards of a popular restaurant where he samples the local wine and an authentic South African dish – bobotie.
Gregg flies into Upington - the gateway to the Kalahari Desert. From here he follows the Orange River to the spectacular Augrabies Falls.
Gregg takes a 300 kilometre road trip along the stunning coast of the Western Cape heading for Gansbaai, otherwise known as Shark Town! He stops for lunch at the South African fish and chip shop where he samples freshly caught Snoek and chips.
Starting at the top of the Orlando Towers – an iconic landmark of Soweto – Gregg experiences a 360 degree view of this sprawling and exciting suburb of Johannesburg.
After a traditional breakfast of coffee and rusks just outside Durban, Gregg grabs a lift with local heli-pilot and takes a ride up into the remote and beautiful Zulu Kingdom.
