The very evening of her wedding, Nathalie, a young French expatriate in Israel, is accused of having killed her husband. The French consulate in Tel Aviv dispatch Karim Taleb to the scene to assist her.

Lieutenants Esti and Raffi organise a reconstruction at the scene of the crime, but Nathalie's memories are blurred. Against the consul's advice, Karim continues with his assignment. Several clues lead the police to Salim, a Bedouin working in the area.

Karim turns to one of his friends in France to dig into Nathalie's past in Nice. Nathalie is under house arrest as her mother attempts to change her destiny and her father searches for a way to get her out of the country.

Karim tells the police that Nathalie's ex-boyfriend Alex is still around. Having discovered some strange marks on her body, Nathalie gets it into to head to find Alex, who has since fled to Palestinian territory.

Nathalie can't find the answers but doesn't give up. Is she the victim as her mother claims? Karim on the other hand is convinced she is a victim of abuse and leaves his role as a diplomat, even if it means putting himself at risk.

The murder investigation continues in multiple directions. Lieutenant Esti questions Nathalie's mother whilst Nathalie's father begs Karim to bring Nathalie from where she is held.
